Newborn Photography Sessions
This past month has been full of newborn photography sessions. This sweet little guy was a St. Patty’s Day baby! He also is the third baby this family has welcomed into their family, and I am so blessed to have known them since before baby #1! It is amazing to have seen this family grow from two to five.
When I get started photographing a newborn photography session I usually do family photos first. That way mom, dad and siblings can relax while I do the baby’s photos alone. During the newborn photography session, family photos are normally taken on your couch, bed or nursery. They can be very close shots if you don’t want a lot of the background showing or they can show a lot of your house and the background. This family built their house not too long ago and it is gorgeous! I was so happy to finally get some photos of them taken in it. It also provides beautiful natural light, which I LOVE!
I love grabbing shots of the siblings together, alone if possible and of course I couldn’t miss out on photographing their dog!
I have a large bean bag I typically use for most of the newborn shots. I bring lots of blankets, wraps, hats and other accessories needed. Normally you just need to figure out what you are wearing and leave the rest to me. However, during newborn photography sessions if you want a specific prop or idea I am always open to suggestions.
This little guy was perfect during his newborn photography session. He slept like a champ and I even got a shot with his eyes open looking at the camera.
I would be so happy to hear from you if you are interested in a newborn photography session. You can find more information about M.Gioeli Photography sessions here.
